BNI (Business Networking International) has been a wonderful source of business for me. For those of you not yet familiar with BNI, it is a group of complementary (non-competing) businesses that meet weekly to help grow each other's businesses. My group meets every Thursday in Briarcliff NY 10510 at the Tuscan Grille.
We are the largest group in Westchester, and I have to say the most fun, too. We currently have 46 businesses in many categoies, including Home Improvement (e.g. General Contractor, flooring, plumbing, electrician, landscaper), Home Buying/Seling (e.g. realtor, real estate atty, inspector, mortage officer, title insurance), Professional Services (attorney, tax accountant, bookkeeper, payroll) and many many more. Our group has been doing well, and you can feel the enegy in the room. We have new members joining each month.
We meet every Thursday at Tuscan Grille in Briarcliff (518 North State Road) at 7am. The owner of the restaurant, Tana McGuire is an active member of our group. Meeting weekly is good because we really get to know each other, which in turn, makes it easier to pass along referrals. Having a team of 46 members actively looking ot grow your buisness is like having an additional sale force.
