I've seen this so many times - the sellers won't budge by $5,000 - but the house sits until that $5,000 is long spent.

Tim, you are right, they carrying costs become burdonsome especially if one has already moved out.

Marte, it is almost better to sell sooner rather than later even if it is less than you wanted.
