It's Mushroom Time at the Jersey Shore (Silent-ish Saturday)

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty - Atlantic Shore

There's no doubt about it.  This has been one of the wettest summer's in recent memory at the Jersey Shore.  While many home owners at the Jersey Shore have low maintenance stone yards, my Ocean Acres neighborhood is a grassy wonderland.

Well, this is the New Jersey Pinelands so when you have a grassy area, that's been treated with clippings and recycled leaves you get mushrooms!

Mushrooms in my yard!

It is interesting to see the types of stuff that grows with the wet/heat/leaves mix...  Cool pics!

Mmm....as long as they are eatable...looks like a great ingredient for cream of mushroom marsala soup....a staple in this house !

Hi Laura,

Can you eat these mushrooms? They would go great in a casserole, some soup, or a salad. Yum Yum. I would be afraid to eat them as some are poisonous. Mushrooms are so interesting and I love the little ones when they grow up in the grass all by their lonesome.
