Stapleton Kickball Tournament. StapletonHomeTeam Wins First Place in Fun!
Last week, Stapleton United Neighbors held it's annual kickball tournament and StapletonHomeTeam joined in the fun for the first time. SUN raised almost $3,000 for the Stapleton elementary schools thanks to great sponsorships from Master Community Association, Chipotle, Fire Work Pizza, and Rocky Mountain Chili Bowl and of course the great teams that played.
Although StapletonHomeTeam didn't come out on top on the field. Consensus was that we had the best off the field activities going on. We did a great job of combining the competitive juices and tomato juice at our Bloody Mary tail gate. Next year we will focus a bit more on the actual game.
Katie and I would really like to thank our players. Marcus, Eddie and Tracy, Brian, Chady and Brad, Crystal, Cindy and Shawn and Nat. Nat might even have been bucking for a co-captain chair next year with her sneak away practices and intense mindset. Thanks again, we had a great time everyone and we hope to make it a traditional that we can all continue.
Maybe next year we will try to give everyone more than 1 week notice. In fact I heard at last night's SUN meeting that next years date is September 15th so I expect to see all of you out on the playgrounds loosening up those hammies.
