GYMNASTICS FOR KIDS IN THE DESERT

PowerKids Center in Palm Desert. Alison Vaughn and her business partner, Jeannette Frederick, have taken over the 14,000-square-foot space formerly known as Action Gymnastics and are already teaching classes.

The PowerKids name is “about power within, the power of an athlete, the power of play,” she said.Things will really be hopping by the gym's grand opening Oct. 15, when Vaughn and Frederick unveil their in-floor trampoline and pit system. Kids will be able to bounce off the trampoline into one of two big foam-filled pits —  FUN AND SAFE!
