World Heart Day

By
Real Estate Agent

Today is World Heart Day.

Two of the most high risk factors for heart problems is smoking and mental strain at work.  Needless to say, the real estate profession especially during this economic recession, can be stressful if we allow it to consume us.  And if we are taking care of our elderly parents, or engaged in another line of work, then the risk of a heart attack increases.  But reversing the damage done to the heart is doable along with excercise.

Doctors say that a brisk 20-30 minute walk 3-4 times a week may lower the risk of a heart attack because it improves the heart's ability to pump, helps weight loss, and may lower your blood pressure.  This is a good thing.

There are many other factors related to heart problems so get a check up regularly especially if you are in the group of people spoken of above.  Please take the appropriate action, and have a happy World Health Day.

Krista,
Good for you!  Now. like a cat would say, "What are you going to do for me today?" =D

Hi Joan,
It clears the mind and make you feel invigorated, a stress reducer I think.

Michele,
I like that idea of a walking club.  It kind of makes you accountable to your walking buddies, so you can't say I have no one to go for a walk with, you do!

Hi Wanda,
Thank you.   Here is wishing that they heard the message.

Dee -  Thanks for the reminder.  Who says real estate is a stressful business?  These days everyone seems on edge and I think it is so important to just keep our cool.  Have a good day.
