66th Annual Magic City Classic

Today is the day for the 66th Annual Magic City Classic held in Birmingham, AL!! This is a yearly "Clash of the 
Titans" between Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University. As an alumnus of Alabama A&M University AND a homegrown Southern Belle from Birmingham Alabama, I have been attending the Magic City Classic for many years. Many of which even before I knew what it was all about. The yearly matchup actually started back in 1924, but from the start it alternated between Huntsville and Montgomery. The Magic City Classic been held at Birmingham's Legion Field since 1940!! With the exceptions of 1943 and 1944, these two universities have met each year with last year's crowd being over 68,000 fans. This year should be no different because today is actually great football weather.
OF COURSE, last year victor's ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY hope to retain the title as Classic Champions but we will see. I will be sure to come back and post the winners of the game. I will not be in attendance this year because I am hard at work here in Huntsville but I will still keep you informed to the outcome of the game!
