Golden Gate Canyon offers a wonderful hike with awesome colors! Just west of Denver, this lovely state park offers easy to difficult hiking and is perfect for those of us that have dogs who enjoy exploring the outdoors. For a relatively comfortable hike, take the Frazier Meadow route...following the Horseshoe Trail. It is approximately 2 miles in, starting with some climbing, but easy trails...once you reach the upper meadows, the trail is level and full of beautiful trees and wonderful color.
