Brentwood Downtown Renovation

Brentwood is working hard at completing the renovations.  They had this incredible idea to take away 150 parking spots to get consumers to park in the new parking lot building.  The idea behind this is to get people to walk  downtown and shop.   So far I have heard of 2 accidents with the new parallel parking.   Today I parked on Oak and when I went to open my door, a car driving by almost took it with them.  I didn't realize there is no room to let drivers out.  Typically it can get busy on Oak when school lets out.   Seems to me that this might actually bring about chaos, then more shoppers.  Personally if I have to make a quick stop.  I don't want to have to park far, walk in heels and carry a lot on me.   When winter comes around, the rain will be a deterrent.   What are your thoughts?  Do you like the new downtown?   Do you think local business will benefit from the new parking situation?   Let's hear how you feel.
