Gray's Papaya an Upper West Side Institution raised prices again this summer!
How can we hate you?
The "Recession Special" still returns change from $5 bill, 2 Franks and a drink for $4.50
Since I've been living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan Gray's Papaya has raised their prices a few times. About ten years ago or so, one hot dog cost only 75 cents. Then it skyrocketed to $1.25 in 2005 (during the bubble) prices remained stable for a while then inching up to $1.50 about three years ago. What will the future be like for Hot Dogs?
Still the Best Deal on Upper West Side
Are Hot Dog prices on the upper West Side in line with real estate prices? Are Hot Dogs the new Gold? Will there be another spike? A double dip? What about the stock market? Where should I put my money? What asset class?
If only I had a crystal ball. Until then I will rely on my market data for trends. Continue to look for my Manhattan quarterly market reports, Manhattan monthly market snapshots and neighborhood reports.
What does this mean for the market?
Buy Hot Dogs and Eat them! Put Sour kraut and mustard on them and Enjoy!
Buy real estate! Live in it! Paint it! and Enjoy it! Life is short!
