Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, Morrison, Colorado
Just west of Denver in the town of Morrison Colorado you will see Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. This is a gorgeous sight with the huge red rocks jetting out of the earth.
In 1941, the City and County of Denver opened the amphitheatre which is a geological phenomenon. This is the only geologically formed, open-air amphitheatre in the world.
Gradual earth movement caused the sandstone ledges to rise from the prehistoric ocean floor. It truly is a site to see. At an altitude of 6,450 ft. you can see downtown Denver in the distance.
Red Rocks is located at 17598 W. Alameda Parkway in Morrison, Colorado.
