Christmas in the KEYS

By
Real Estate Agent with Marathon Key Real Estate Inc

It is now the season... The snowbirds are flocking down.  Forget about dining out, They now make you wait to get a table... People with nothing to do stand in the MIDDLE of the grocery store isle and read labels.  Don't they read them up north then buy the same thing down here?  Do they think that the nutritional labels will be different here?  If it says Cambells on the label it matches Cambell labels nationwide...

BUT, these are the folks that want to buy and sell real estate.

Okay, so I am accustom to NO lines, easy seating and fast shopping.  I'll get over it for the next 6 months.

Our market has been slow.  Not as slow as some but a true awakening from the fast paced market of 2 years ago.  We are seeing the part-timers go by the wayside...  Back to the resturants, cleaning pools and working at Home Depot.  They will be back when things get hot.  Nothing better than a part-time real estate professional...

I on the other hand work full-time in this industry.  I don't need to take off from a 'job' to go show or list a home. I start around 7AM and shut it down around 8PM Daily...

Have questions on Real Estate in the Middle Keys, call me.

We had a bank robbery the other day.  The robber rode up to the bank on his bike.  (keep in mind here we have ONLY one road thru town) He was wearing BLUE shorts, a PINK shirt and sporting RED sunglasses. His bike was rusty with a basket on the front.  He stuck the loot in the basket and rode away down the street. (we have MORE law enforcements people per capita then anywhere in America)  You guessed it . HE GOT AWAY...

So much for the KEYS, you gotta love it...

Have a safe and happy Holiday Season

Hey Ric,  My grandmother is one of those clogging up the isles.  I'll tell her to pick up the pace! :)  She and her friend, Al, live on Indian Mound Trial off 1 in Tavernier.  We try to visit every year.  You do live in a truly beautiful part of the country.  Good luck this winter!!
