With the weather getting so nice now I try to take a break from the office, computer, and phones at lunch time. Last week I went to one of the local parks in Bastrop. Fisherman's Park. On the way I stopped and picked up a sandwich. One of the great local restrauntsi n the area is The Roadhouse. They have great food! (And if you can't head to the park they have a great patio where you can sit under an umbrella and enjoy the day).
is nestled below Old Town Bastrop,
under the bridge down by the Colorado River.
The park has a baseball diamond, tennis courts, a playing field, great playground,
boat dock for the Colorado, two large pavilions with a huge bar-b-que and smoker,
picnic tables, large trees,
a well maintained grassy bank where we humans can go down to visit (and feed) the resident geese and ducks that are there year round. It is a lovely spot to spend a part of your day alone, with family and friends, or with a large group.
My picnic lunch was a definite stress buster! Sometimes we are so focused on selling our areas, we forget to enjoy them ourselves!
