Palmer Lake, Co, is a quaint little town located to the north of Colorado Springs at the northern edge of El Paso County. Palmer Lake is an easy commute to both Colorado Springs and Denver. There is usually a decent selection of homes for sale to include a horse properties.

The homes in Palmer Lake allow you to truly feel like you are living the Colorado experience.

In Palmer Lake, you have mountains and rock formations. You have lots of trees and lots of views. Deer walk down the street going from yard to yard. While living in Palmer Lake, I saw my first fox. I also saw my first chipmunks.

The area has trails that are popular with cyclists, long distance runners, and horse back riders. Motorcycle riders also enjoy the scenic drive though Palmer Lake.

There are a few award winning restaurants in Palmer Lake that are very worthy of the drive even if you don’t live in Palmer Lake. Those will be featured in future posts. Well, I will admitt that O'Malley's
Steak Pub is my favorite.

Sometimes the suburbs are the most liveable of places Sondra and this one at Palmer Lake with an easier drive to Denver as well allows you to enjoy the cultural and sports selections of that metropolitan area too. If you see deer, fox, and chipmunks nearby that is true rural living.

Gary, Palmer At the same time, Palmer Lake is just far enough out that is doesn't really feel like a suburb or subdivision of Colorado Springs - like Manitou Springs, Fountain and Monument do. Each of those towns all flow almost seamlessly into Colorado Springs.

Thank you Judi! Palmer Lake is certainly not homogenized!

Hi Sondra, are those aircraft fuselages on the train in that picture....and you know just abot anywhere in Colorado is a pretty place to be...I guess west of Denver that is.....isn't the eastern part of the state mostly prairie lands, not that that is a bad thing, just not as pretty as the mountains.

We are in search of a 2+ bedroom, 2 bath home to rent in the Palmer Lake-Larkspur area. My husband took a job with the Town of Larkspur. We would like to be able to stay under $1,000 per month if possible. We would also be open to purchasing a small plot of land if we could put a camping trailer on it for awhile.
