Can 100 million coffee drinkers around the world be wrong? With over 400 billion cups of coffee consumed each year (yes, that’s Billion), I guess it was time to throw this group a bone and give them their very own day.
Those numbers are overwhelming to me. So who are these folks? Well, believe it or not, nurses and physicians rank #1 and 2 as the top two coffee drinking professions. I have no idea where Tampa home builders fall in this group, but I’m sure we could hang with the best of them, especially if there are donuts.
To honor this day, many national and local coffee shops are giving away or discounting their coffee. Krispy Kreme is providing free coffee all day. I’m sure the same is true for many of our local shops, too.
