Things to Consider

To everyone who is calling for stricter gun laws in light of the tragedy in Tucson, may I offer this little tidbit: If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons make people fat! Remember: Hold the person accountable for their actions, not the means they chose to utilize!!!

"Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So each is inevitably disappointed."

Dear God, My prayer for 2011 is a fat bank account and a thin body. Please don't mix these up like you did last year. Amen

James you make a good point, it is so easy to get things wrong. Like you, I guess you qualify, I ended last yaer hoping for a thinner body and fat bank account. Somehow things got confusing and my bank account is a bit thinner and my body, you guessed it, a bit fatter!

Hi James,

Poeple kill poeple, not guns. If we got rid of everything that killed people, there would be nothing left to eat or use in everyday life.

Have a great day in N.W. Arkansas.

Best, Clint McKie

That is just great. Love the prayer!!! What a great post and how very true. Everyone has their expectations which have absolutely nothing to do with reality!! Thank you for sharing this today. I will remember and share it with others!

Cute.  As a Texas gal, we treasure our gun rights.  Don't mess with us.  :)

Just passed my concealed carry class and now waiting on the feds to approve me. I don't plan on shooting anyone, but I travel to some interesting areas and feel the protection is necessary.

I don't expect my gun to jump out of its holster and starting shooting all by itself. I believe that a person would be required to make some sort of action.

James,

It takes a wise man to look at a situation without jumping the gun (no pun intended). Your ability to analyze the situation without overreacting and illustrating logical thinking is to be applauded

Hi James - I think it is 50,000 people who are killed each year in car accidents.  Should we ban cars?
