WHO SAYS THE REAL ESTATE MARKET IS DEAD?

If over 13,780 homes sold yesterday and 13,780 will sell today along with the same amount tomorrow we would have our answer.

That is the average number of homes that sell each and every day in this country according to the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) latest Existing Home Sales Report. NAR reported that sales had increased 7.7% over the month before and 18.6% over the year before. According to the report, annualized sales now stand at 5.03 million. Divide that number by 365 days in the year and we can see that, on average, well over 13,000 homes sell every day.

Even though the numbers are below the record for homes sold in 2006, it’s good to know that homes are still selling. So if you hear that the current real estate market is dead or that houses aren’t selling here is evidence to prove the inaccuracy.

Repeating what we don't need repeated, that the media hammers away at is just keeping everyone stuck, scared, deer in the headlights.

The media was over a year late in reporting that we wer ein a recession so it will be a good year behind in reporting we are coming out of it. Here in NH i have been as busy now as i was back in 2006, homes are selling and listing inventory is actually down.
