This newly remodeled Arcadia, CA home received some home staging expertise by Michelle Drewry, Owner and Principal Designer of Staging The Essentials. Two questions remained in the buyers mind, will my furniture fit into these smaller rooms and how will we arrange the furnishings? We set about answering those questions by showing the buyer through staging.
When all was said and done, it was lots of work; but, we also had fun turning this vacant house into a buyer's dream home. As experts in home staging, it helps to know the area and to be familiar with the buyer most likely to purchase a home in that area. This is who you are staging for - the buyer.
Below we show the difference that home staging makes. Now a buyer has a reason to come to see this home.
BEFORE and AFTER Photos Below.
Before Home Staging the Living Room (empty rooms look smaller)
After Home Staging the Living Room (The answer is YES, your furniture can fit)
After Home Staging the Living Room - another view
Before Home Staging the Dining Room (the room looks narrow, will a dining table and chairs have room?)
After Home Staging the Dining Room ( Again, the table and chairs fit nicely into the space and looks far better than an empty room)
Before Home Staging the Kitchen
After Home Staging the Kitchen (staged always looks more like home and makes it easier for a buyer to visualize themselves living there)
Before Home Staging the Kitchen
After Home Staging the Kitchen (makes you want to sit down and have a cup of coffee)
Before Home Staging the Master Bedroom (the room didn't look like a bed would fit. Also, who wants to look at your neighbor or know they're really that close?)
After Home Staging The Master Bedroom (adding sheers softened the effect of the neighborhood outside and shows buyers that a bed will indeed fit.)
Before Home Staging the Media/Family Room
After Home Staging the Media/Family Room (shows buyers they can have two separate areas within the one room)
After Home Staging the Media/Family Room - another view (cozy place for watching a 52" widescreen TV)
Let's see how much activity the staging brings to this house, which has been on and off the market for nearly a year without a buyer.
