A variety of safe and fun events is just around the corner for October 2011 in Albany Oregon. The details are below for events both children and adults can enjoy.
On Saturday, October 25, 2008 downtown will be haunted by little ghouls and goblins for the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treating. We start off with the kid’s costume contest at 10:00 am at Two Rivers Market, 250 Broadalbin St. SW. Trick-or-Treating starts at 11:00 am and goes to 1:00 pm. at participating merchants-look for the orange and black balloons. Pediatric Dental Associates will again be providing treat bags with toothbrushes and tooth care products. They will be available at the Visitor’s Center in Two Rivers Market. There will be an adults-only costume ball at the Venetian Theater in downtown Albany on Friday, October 31st, from 9:00 pm to the “witching hour” of 1:00 am. Tickets are $20 per person and are available through the website http://albanymasquerade.com or at the Venetian box office, 241 1st Ave. W. There will be live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a costume contest! (Costumes are required and no alcohol will be allowed. Proceeds will benefit SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) to aid literacy support in our Oregon schools, http://www.getsmartoregon.org/ .
