It's important to remember that the subjects of real estate videos don't need to be confined to videos about specific listings. An important way for agents to generate business via video is to brand themselves using humor, taglines, stunts, and other attention-grabbing tricks.

Look at Spencer Krull, a Los Angeles real estate agent with a very active YouTube account, as someone who uses videos to brand himself. Take this video as an example. It is humorous, light-hearted, and not the least bit sale-oriented. Unlike many videos created by real estate agents, I a) enjoyed this one, b) wanted to watch more of his videos after finishing it, and c) was left with a favorable impression of the agent himself (he seems like a funny, fun-loving guy). Thanks to this video, I will contact Mr. Krull first if I ever want to buy a property in LA.

I know Spencer and his ads are like nothing i've ever seen. They are simple and short but strait to the point. Any publicity is a great publicity:)
