WALKTOBERFEST -- A Festival for DOGS and their HUMANS!
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is celebrating the Annual Walktoberfest (Walk-a-Thon).
Dogs and their humans can enjoy great food, activities, and some music.
When: October 1st - Saturday (rain or shine)
Where: Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, NH, 221 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH
Time: 9:00 regisration and vendors open
10:00 - Walk starts
(currently vaccinated, properly leashed NO FLEX LEADS)
There will be 40 pet Friendly vendors – face painting games, obstacle course, photo booth, dog games with prizes, raffles and more. K-9 unit demonstrations and performances by New England Disc Dog Association will delight both dogs and their humans.
Cost: $5.00 adults/kids 12+ - kids 11 years & under – Free
Free admission for those collecting Walk-a-thon pledges!
Proceeds: To benefit the Humane Society for Greater Nashua
Dogs who are properly leashed (no flex leads) and vaccinated are welcomed all day.
The highlight is the the dog adoption showcase. Last year 14 shelter dogs were adopted. Consider adopting one of these cute 4 legged friends.
Music will be provided by DJ Bernie of Perfect Entertainment and WZID’s Mike Morin with emcee. Food will be on hand from the Common Man and Chef on Wheels. A beer tent is on site for those 21 and older.
Walktoberfest is sponsored by the Animal Medical center of New England, Dell, Petsmart, the Telegraph, and many local businesses.
