Built from 1999 to 2002, The Missions at Rio Vista is a gated condominium community of 464 units in zip code 92108 in the central section of Mission Valley between Highway 163 and Interstate 805. Bedroom/bathroom floor plans include 1/1 and 2/2, and range in size from 704 to 1,249 square feet. Amenities include swimming pool, spa, outdoor grills, and a fitness center. All units have in-unit laundries.

HOA fees are $150 to $210 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, sewer, trash pickup, termite prevention, and limited insurance.

The Missions at Rio Vista is just a short drive or bicycle ride from the University of San Diego, San Diego State University, Fashion Valley Mall, the Fashion Valley Transit Station, Qualcomm Stadium, SeaWorld, Mission Bay, Old Town, and downtown San Diego.

Walkers, joggers, and bikers will enjoy the concrete paths along the San Diego River from Qualcomm Stadium on the east end of Mission Valley all the way to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach on the west end, a distance of about seven miles.

A check with the FHA on September 25, 2011, indicates that The Missions at Rio Vista is not FHA approved. It also is not VA approved.
