U locked me out of my home read the text message following the phone call I saw trying to come through while I was on another call.
I saw who sent it and guessed the situation. It’s was a seller out of town for the weekend now returned on Monday afternoon.
No, I didn’t lock you out of your home! But, on Saturday, I drove 20 miles each way to turn on lights in your home to set the stage for a second showing. When I drove back and turned off the lights, I also checked the garage interior door and it was locked.
Now, I'm learning the hard way that this seller travels without a key to her own home relying on the garage door opener for access. This has happened before with a different seller. In that case, she taped a note on the door requesting that it not be locked. Unfortunately, that note didn’t help much at all so I've received this type of message before.
No, I didn’t lock the door. That was the conscientious Buyer’s agent after the second showing.
So, today, I will drive 20 miles there and 20 miles back to get you in your home. My only request is that you please carry a key becasue, next time, I might not be able to do this at your convenience and neither of us wants you to be in this situation again.
