Notice to All Nampa Idaho Folks....Irrigation Water Will be Cut off 10/6/2011

Attention Nampa Meridian Irrigation Users....Green Lawn

It was announced that the Irrigation water for 2011 will be shut off on October 6, 2011

Some subdivisions that have pressurized irrigation and a back up source will continue to have water!

For the rest of us...we will have to hope that the weather turns cooler soon....

Don't forget to get your sprinklers blown out...

And here is hoping we get lots of Mountain Snow this year so we can have another full year of irrigation water.

Since we only get an average of 12 inches of precipitation here in the Treasure Valley annually we rely heavily upon the Nampa Meridian Irrigation systems to keep our lawns green!

Looking at the picture the irrigation is necessary. Everything is so green and lush. Hope that the waterfall total is abundant for you Deborah.

Deborah, I did not know you only receive 12" of precipitation!    I will need to watch the weather in your area more!     Great info for home owners!

Tom....our irrigation systems are amazing ...and they were implemented in the early 1900's.   I think that is waht amazes me the most!

Joan...yep we are high desert...our valley doesn't get a lot of snow or rain...although last spring we were a head of the game....the hot August and September were really dry!!!
