Today's Wyckoff YMCA is a far cry from the original Y, established in the mid-1940s. In 1998, a fearless group of locals got together a launched a campaign to raise millions of dollars to expand and renovate the Y, and today it houses some of the best programs, a beautiful pool, and a much better version of the Wydaca camp my kids attended in the 1970s. My grandson takes piano lessons there, and the cost is incredibly reasonable for all he's gotten from them. Yearly family memberships are a real bargain, and it brings families together with their neighbors and friends.
