Anxious / Nervous VA Buyer In Northern California

By

My Poor buyer here in the Fremont, CA Area is so nervous and anxious.  We have been looking at so many poor condition homes, that we can't make his VA Loan work for him.  I feel so sad that we have limited inventory that will help the large numbers of Veterens searching for a home by using their VA Loan option.

The government is looking into putting more veteren families into homes, but how will this happen if we have so many REO Poor conditon homes?  I thought the administration gave banks to bail them out?  Well, maybe they should have used some of that money to get some of these homes in proper conditon to live.

My VA buyers are discouraged.  How can we help?  Are there investors that can help build the VA housing inventory?  What is everyone else experiencing?  I am a strong believer that this is a great loan, and we can help our country build a stronger home ownership, but not if we don't start getting some property conditon support.  Why is it that a regular seller will need to pay for a Section 1 Clearance, but banks don't have to?  So many homes are just sitting!

Let's help our anxious/nervous VA Buyers with some better property condition homes.   Investors, are you in?

Kim, it sounds as if your buyer is in a tough price band! Of course, he Bay Area tends to have some of the most costly housing units in general.

You are so right Vickie.  Anything under $210K is a challenge!  Escpecially here in our area!  It would be great to find some flippers to buy some of these low end homes and get them into move in condition (for a profit of course)...  Sure would help out!

At least in our area we can find homes for our VA buyers.  Sorry for the problems you are having.

Too bad they can't combine the FHA Rehab with the VA Loan.
