Rainy Day Morning Fitness Workout on the Inside
I woke up this morning about to tackle a five mile mountain hike before taking on some appointments. I did not realize that it is raining outside here in Fontana. Rain, rain go away~ and this is just the first day. I log onto Active Rain, get my blogs and comments together.
I start to make some adjustment to my schedule.

Drink A Smoothie-check, huh.
Those who know me well knows that I am either jogging, mountain hiking, doing zumba or cardio. This is the time of the year whereas people tend to get sick. Well I have a little time to share with you one of the things that keep me going besides fitness. I love smoothies.
One of the best things to do for the flu is to drink a lot of liquids that are dense with Vitamin C. So as the doctor ordered get some rest and drink:
The Vitamin C Attack
2-3 cups sliced watermelon
1 cup sliced cantaloupe
1/4 cup strawberries
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
2-3 cups ice
I also have another sweet tasting, veggie based smoothie. It is a great way to add some variety to your diet and some health to your life! Apples are great for regulating blood sugar, cholesterol, and colon function. You'll also be delighted to know that carrots are a great source of vitamin C and folate.
1 cup apple juice
1 cup sliced red apple
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup cucumber peeled and sliced
2 1/2 cups ice
