Midwest City Down Payment Assistance 2011 is currently available for up to $5,000 towards down payment, closing costs and principle reduction for any eligible home buyer in the Midwest area.
Eligibility for the Midwest City Down Payment Assistance 2011 are:
- Buyer must be a first time home buyer
- Property must be in Midwest City
- Buyer must be income eligible
- Buyer must attend a Homebuyer Education Course
- Applicant must provide a minimum of 1.5% of the sales contract or $500 of their own money towards closing costs, down payment and may include earnest money.
The Midwest City Down Payment Assistance 2011 is funded with $75,000 and will end when funds are expended or June 30, 2012, whichever comes first. The City of Midwest City is offering this assistance to promote home ownership opportunities for low-income residents and to provide a tool to assist in neighborhood revitalization. Midwest City Down Payment Assistance is also available for individuals who may be considered a displaced homemaker or single parent. A "displaced homemaker" qualifies as an individual who has not worked full-time in the labor force for a number of years, and is unemployed or underemployed. A "single parent" is an individual who is unmarried or legally separated from a spouse and has one or more minor children in their custody or joint custody.
