Realtors & CAMS
It is important that Realtors and Community Association Managers have a good working relationship. Realtors work in an environment where they are being pressured by Lenders to have documents such as Financial Reports, Q & A Forms and Estoppel Certificates back to them within a few hours. On the other hand CAMs have to answer to their Board, hundreds of owners and in the case of vacation condominiums several thousand visitors each week, lawyers and vendors. Realtors often think of CAM managers as being unconcerned that we have a lender imposed dead line and Cam managers think of Realtors as being demanding. We could eliminate some of the friction by getting to know the managers and give them advance notice as soon as we get a contract that lenders and title companies will soon be requesting documents on the association and the unit that is under contract. It is amazing how a little kindness will make the transaction go a lot smoother.
