One of the hardest things I have found, especially among Real Estate Agents is delegating tasks and creating Team Spirit to help accomplish the task(s) at hand. When you delegate, you can accomplish a lot more than doing it all yourself. Here are come tips when delegating:
. Pick People who can accept responsibility, Surround yourself with the best.
. Match the person to the task, as best you can, Delegate assignments that will capitalize on that person's talents.
. Build confidence in a person by assigning low-risk projects at first and then build from there.
. For each assignment, let the person who is assigned to the task, put their own spin on it. Their way may be better and be sure to listen to their ideas with an open mind.
. When communicating a task use words that are easily understood. One great idea is to Dictate the instructions on a recorder or write them out so the person can recheck the message.
. Be sure that you keep tabs on the assignments so that as the deadline nears, you can check to make sure that everything is on target.
. Be sure each assignment has a completion date attached and explain how this assignment relates to other priorities.
If you follow these simple steps you will find that your "team" accomplishes more and you can focus on what you do best, list and sell homes.
