Central Ohio Market Report September 2011.

This past September in Central Ohio saw 1035 homes and condos get sold. The average home sold was a 3BD 1BA 1,942 sq ft home selling for $172,494 after 106 days on the market. In 2010, we saw 1036 homes get sold, typical home was a 3BD 1BA 1,880 sq ft home selling for $167,135 after 85 days.

Here I see similar homes taking slightly longer to sell but for similar prices. Could this be the sign of a stabilizing real estate market in Central Ohio? Numbers across the board are similar to the point of equality, and has been that way for a few months now in Central Ohio.

Joe - Your home sales stats sound like the market is more stable than it was in 2009.  The key for the home sales to improve is when the move up buyer can quickly and easily sell their existing home which enables them to buy their more expensive replacement home.
