iPad Shortcuts for Symbols
This may be something all of you iPhone users already know but my iPad was my first Apple product. Finding these little iPad shortcuts was a big plus for me. I can't remember how I found out about the apostrophe (') shown here in the picture but it has saved me a lot of time!
So how do you use it? Simply press down on the key and hold it. The shortcut symbol will light up above the key in blue. Slide your finger upward to the symbol you want and let go.
I also found out that the question mark short cuts the quotation marks ("). Playing around on the keyboard tonight I also found the following letters and characters on the alphabet keyboard which are shortcuts for less used symbols (at least by me):
a, e, i, o, u, y, s, z, c, n, !, ?
The number keyboard also has some shortcuts on them! Check out these keys.
0 - $ & . ? ! ' "The zero shortcuts the degree symbol! Can definitely use that for recipe sharing and weather discussions!
