Tit For Tat - Warren v Brown

By
Industry Observer with Self Employed

The clothes, um, gloves seem to be off in this Massachusetts senatorial contest.

When asked how she paid for her college education, Elizabeth Warren, senator wannabe, replied: "I didn't take my clothes off."

Asked what his official response is to Warren's slight jab, Scott Brown, answered: "Thank God!"

Warren referenced Brown's stint on Cosmopolitan magazine's centerfold back when he was in college.

Warren's answer is funny, so is Brown's retort. Are their responses appropriate? Let's discuss.

Those are definitely great responses.  Why is it though that if a woman takes her clothes off in a magazine it's scandalous but when a man does it, people just fluff it off??

Gotta have some humor in politics once in a while or we'll all go nuts, and Brown's reply was priceless.  She threw it out there first, and his comeback was hilarious.

Another good one, Yolanda!

Howdy and evening Yolanda

Yolanda, maybe if politician would work more on how to help make things better for Americans, and not on how much they can dig up on the other. Then maybe things could really start to get better for folks.

Have a good one

Ummmm.....hummmmmm I'm thinking for the right response in order not to upset....Funny and Sad. Funny with the response and Sad that our paid leaders have to get into this type situation. Maybe they best discuss the business of the country and leave the Funny for another time.

Like Reagan's Youth and Inexperience comment!  HeHeHe! I'd rather look at Scott Brown WITH his clothes on than Warren with or without her clothes

Thank you, Nancy. Good banter if they don't escalate. Regarding the scandal aspect, it probably harkens back to the days when women were put on pedestals... not anymore so Warren can take her clothes off if she wishes to. Equality and all that. :)

Hi, and thank you, Cheryl. It was a cheap shot and it was funny. But she opened the door for Brown to shoot back. I believe she responded later that she will survive a few jabs from Scott Brown. Playing the victim after she started it.

Nancy Pelosi gave her two cents saying that Scott Brown is clueless and should apologize. Two strong women who want to be treated differently when given equal opportunity.

Good afternoon, Dale. They should listen to folks like you who only want to hear solutions not mud slinging. I look at it as comic relief from the real depressing things gripping the states and the country as a whole. Thanks for dropping by!

Hi, Bill. It was a cheap shot. Unfortunately for her, Scott Brown threw it back. It's probably not going to end there since Nancy Pelosi is out there defending Warren and asking Brown to apologize. LOL Californians should apologize to the country for giving us Pelosi.

Hello, C&C - it was unfortunate Warren chose to answer this way to make political hay. I'm surprised she came up with that, since she's a Harvard professor who can easily articulate why she wants to be the nominee.
