who Is Your Favorite Real Estate Speaker?

Real Estate Agent with (512) 786-8300

This week, I had the chance to see Jeff Elias speak. Jeff is a national real estate speaker, who conducts seminars about real estate investing and finance. It was the second opportunity to hear him speak, and I've learned a ton each time. Not only does Jeff provide insightful information about financial instruments, but he aides agents in thinking differently about transactions. Furthermore, Jeff is big on real estate investment for individuals, and more specifically agents, something that I believe is not talked about nearly enough.

What Style Do You Like?

If you've been in this business for any time, you have likely been to real estate seminars. Whether those seminars are at a convention, for a certification, or for mce credit, we have the opportunity to hear great speakers. I tend to like straight talkers like Jeff, or Howard Brinton. I also gravitate to providers of tons of information like Alex Charfen, the founder of CDPE. Then you get a guy like CRS instructor Zan Monroe, who brings information, with humor and energy.

After attending Raincamp twice, I'm going to have to add that as one of my favorite informative seminars. So who are you favorite real estate speakers?

I've sat through Jeff Elias financing MCEs. I'm glad you find him insightful. I dont have a speaker I can name per se but I've sat through many good ones, many not so good ones.

I'm with you. I like the straightforward tell it like it is...speakers. I have heard each of those you mentioned in your post and think VERY highly of each of them. Another sales speaker that I really like (though not real estate specific) is Jeffrey Gittomer. If you like no nonsense relevant information about bringing value to the transaction first...I recommend you check out some things he has to say. Thanks for the post.

Hi Scott. I can't name one. It seems when attending national events Realtors are more likely to hear from the giants of industries other than their own.

Scott, I'm a CDPE, so I know what you mean about Alex Charfen. I've been to a bunch of seminars and no one really jumps out as a top speaker to me. I travelled about 4 hours to Chicago for Agent Reboot last April (?) and wished it was a little more advanced.

Ditto to Ken's comment - Gittomer is straight forward and sharp!

I like Peter Pfeiffer in AUS - LEED Architect. He's all about being real, no crap, no ratings, no snazzy suits, just the facts man, whether you like him, them, or not.

Scott, I really like both Joe Stumpf and Brian Buffini.

I spent two days once listening to Stumpf do sessions on his By Referral Only program, including what turned into his obsession with quality.  It gave everyone in the room, especially those obsessed by their numbers, a lot to chew on.
