Rockville Centre NY is hosting it's 21st Annual Halloween Costume Parade and Party on Sunday, October 30th, 2011.

Youngsters pre-K and up are invited to join the parade which starts from the Village Green on Maple Avenue at 2 pm and proceed down Maple to the Rec Center on Oceanside Road. Their will be games and prizes for marchers at the Rec Center.

Everyone must register for the parade and or party at the Rec Center for $8 per family. In case of rain the parade is canceled but the party will begin at 3pm.

Liz, I remember the last time I went to a Halloween Party and wore a costume. It was when I was working for US Home in Dallas. I went dressed as a Nun, and ended up winning the $100 first place prize. This prize, as you can imagine, has allowed me to give my Sisterly Blessing to those many souls who seek it. How fun, huh ?

Now, to your post. This, too, sounds like fun. Ya know, if you sit and repeat the word Ragamuffin over and over and over... it really IS a silly word. I wonder where it came from ? Any ideas ?

Liz - that sounds like a lot of fun for families! I can't wait to see my daughter and granddaughters' costumes this year. It will be the first time for Shandi to dress up with the girls and they are "The Cat in a Hat", "Thing 1", and "Thing 2".

OK Karen Ann it is an English word and it means a shabbily clothed dirty child. Also thanks for the blessing. I guess you didn't read the two truths and a lie group when I was featured. I have dressed as a Nun too just not in the "habit".
