Autumn Barn in North Idaho

This pretty autumn day I had an opportunity to head south of town along the eastern side of Coeur d'Alene Lake along the Lake Coeur d'Alene Scenic Byway.  (I'm not sure why sometimes it's Coeur d'Alene Lake and others it's Lake Coeur d'Alene...)

I came across this barn.  It was pretty as a picture so I decided to take one of it.  It is located along Highway 3 just south of Harrison in an area known as Harrison Flats.  Isn't it fun to imagine what stories this old gal could tell!Barn

This is a great picture. I love the hay rolls in the barn...everyone is going to get fed this winter. Here's a picture from my area showing how fall has already hit us. These flowers use to be beautiful. I wrote an earlier blog about them.

Fall Sunflower PicsMy whole garden looks like this now. We had two hard freezes in the last two nights. The brussel sprouts are holding their own, but most everything that wasn't covered is now dead.
