Sometimes I feel I work for peanuts, but I do literally work for Peanut. Peanut is our household cat and is loved by all, but especially by my wife. She talks to the cat, dotes on the cat, and generally cares for Peanut. So, yes I do literally work for Peanut, to buy the food, pay for supplies and the vet visits.
It is nice to occasionally be the recipient of the purring. I guess humans purr, but just in other ways. I like working for Peanut.
Peanut looks like a good kitty. I think that it is wonderful to love your pets!

When Nero was alive, we use to call it the Puppy Palace. Afterall it was HIS house, and we just shared it with him. And the king size bed....well, we were allowed to share it as well. When you put clean sheets on it, he would plop right down in the middle of it, and look at you with a "Ah....nice" look that only Nero could give.
Yvette, peanut is a good cat, except for the occasional throw up mishap.

Well peanut is one lucky cat then. Pets bring an awful lot of love to a person's life and so they should be on the list of things to work for. IMHO.

Cal, Peanut is so cute! I feel the same way, I work for Remy Reine! I work for purrs as well although I don't think Justin enjoys the purrs at 4am when Remy wakes him up for pets...hehe! I used to work for Vodka (my Siberian Husky til she died). Now I work for Java (my 14-year old Husky/Golden mix) and Puddin' (my daughter's cat who I have adopted)! Fun to think about.
Our four legged critters bring so much into our lives. They really are part of the family !
