A Successful Catches for Critters Event -For SPCA Suncoast in New Port Richey-Florida

Last Friday evening all our animal -loving friends came to our 3rd Annual Catches for Critters Event at Catches Waterfront Grille. Cheney Bros. did our chicken & ribs barbeque (lip-smacking good); and Grandma’s Candy Kitchen donated this awesome cake. (It took up 2 tables-I’m still not sure how they got it in the van). Thank you to everyone: Catches, Cheney Bros., Grandma’s Candy Kitchen, all our sponsors, volunteers, staff, and friends. And a special thank you to Kellyann Payne, our fundraiser coordinator extraordinaire.

While we were there, Gail Armstrong (ED) brought in kittens that had been abandoned and one of our volunteers took them home to foster. That's why we do it.

I am now the proud mommy of two dogs and 5 cats.  The most recent addition is Sambo and Gracie (kittens about 6 weeks old).  I think I have a flashing sucker sign on my forehead.  Oh well....   Glad your event went well.  Beautiful cake/cookie (looked like a frosted cookie to me).  And those baby kittens are just adorable.

Toni, that is awesome, I love fundraisers for good causes needless to say for the Critters I have a special weakness. There is not a better fundraiser than that:)

Toni - Kudos to you for giving a big plug to your local SPCA and not only am I a big advocate of animals rights, I give a monthly donation so that my local ASPCA can keep up their great work helping cats and dogs find forever homes. Without generous contributions and fundraisers, there would be no SPCA - all animal lovers should do there part and every little bit adds up!

Joni - I couldn't believe it when I saw them bringing it in. It was beautiful too with the SPCA Suncoast logo.

Tammy - all animal lovers have that same sign-I know! It was more of a huge cookie type cake. Delish. And thank you for all you do for animals too.

John - we sure did and it was a fun night.

Kristine - Thank you for being an animal rescue supporter. Those of us involved really appreciate the help.

Rob - It sure was a big cake and Grandma's Candy Kitchen did it for us as a donation. Kathy is just a wonderful supporter.
