The paint on your window ledges

By
Real Estate Agent with Dan Edward Phillips

This is the time of the year to inspect the paint on your window ledges.  While you still have good weather to repair and repaint them.

The window ledges tend to retain water longer that other parts of the exterior of your home and they do receive more sun in the summer.

The rain and the sun tend to destroy the paint on your window ledges.  Check them for cracks in the paint or sections of paint that are lifting.  If you find a damaged area, repaint it before the winter rains come.

Your window ledges will last longer and you will be making sure that water does not find a way to enter your home.

Of course for second story windows, get professional help if you are not comfortable working at heights.

Tis the Season. Winter is coming and even here in the south you need to check your windows and ledges. Great Reminder. Thanks.

Window ledges tend to hold water and the paint deteriorates faster.
