Illegal immigrants and New Home Builders

Being a newly licensed agent as well as a new homeowner in the state of Georgia I've realized the awesome potential for growth in the North Metro Atlanta area.

With growth comes jobs, of course, and with jobs brings competition.

I was watching C-SPAN over the weekend and the Homeland Security Secretary was sitting in front of a congressional panel justifying to the various State leaders on why he needed more money.

The issue of border security was being discussed and it was stated that 11-12 million illegal aliens are estimated to be in the United States as of this moment.

More importantly, and I swear this to be true...The Homeland Security Secretary stated that employers (in this case large homebuilders) are required to report any desrepancies in employee documentation to the government so that they can investigate further to uncover any terrorist ties. The companies who fail to do so systematically will be put under investigation and could serve jail time. THIS MEANS THAT HOMEBUILDERS WHO KNOWINGLY HIRE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FOR CHEAP LABOR AND HIGHER PROFIT MARGINS WILL NO LONGER BE SLAPPED ON THE WRIST WITH A $1000 FINE ANYMORE...THEREFORE IF YOU KNOW OF A FAIRLY LARGE COMPANY THAT PARTICIPATES AND CONTRIBUTES TO THESE PRACTICES, THEN REPORT THEM TO HOMELAND SECURITY AND THEY WILL OPEN A CASE.

Not only would you be helping the fight against terrorism, but also the fight for our American economy.

James,  My husband also feels very strongly about protecting our boarders. Only last month a person serving in a cafe was fired for shop lifting, she was so upset she reported the owner for hiring illegal immigrants.  He was fined 10k each or 40K and she was deported.

America has always welcomed immigrants who come to this country by following the rules to do so.

Those that do not choose to follow those rules for whatever reason need to go to the back of the line and do it correctly if they want to live here.
