Adirondack design - Slope side at Loon Mt- Lincoln NH

By

After a hugely successful Builders Show case of homes over the Columbus Day weekend, I thought I would share some of the interior finish work we put in these homes. The traditional Adirondack home takes advantage of the materials found locally...that was when they built them in upstate New York at the turn of the century. Now we can get Granite - and exotic species of woods to the site easily...so we are not limited by transport or the lack there of.

The masonry Stone work here was the owners choice...but it is in keeping with the use of local materials.

The Douglas Fir Beam work, Red pine tongue and groove walls and Hickory Floors all add texture to this room.

A view from the open loft acts as a bridge to the upper bedrooms and  completes the look of the vaulted ceiling in the great room below.

This 5 bedroom -4 &1/2 bath home is about 4,000 square feet of living space and 5,000 Sq. Ft, gross total square feet -Featuring a home gym and a ski room off the garage...where you can ski to your door at Loon Mt.

Steve.. I've noticed pictures of this types of homes on some of your other blogs.  Thank you for posting pictures and descriptions of the inside.  This home is very warm and inviting.. to say the least.  I can picture myself in front of the fireplace with some hot cider right now, looking at the fall foliage.
