I was having a terrible awful day on Wednesday. People were going out of their way to torture me. I think some of them even took a bus to get to me. Two deals died in a New York minute. A buyer on a co-op backed out and the seller of the co-op had an accepted on a house and down they came like a house of cards.
Another buyer due to close two weeks ago now wants $20,000 (that's right folks) off the price of the house because she thinks prices have gone down. I wanted to share with her what I think but no one will let me. Enough said it was a stinky day. While I was in the bank my phone rang. It was a cowgirl.
It was Tammy Pearce and I know she is a cowgirl, she wears spurs. Well slap my chaps if she doesn't have the most bubbly voice. She made my day. We chatted for about twenty minutes and we talked about family and deals and trick or treating and she just made me laugh. She changed my mood. You couldn't stay morose and stay on the phone with her.
I am just amazed at how different things are in different parts of the country. She is horrified that in NY we live one on top of another literally (apartment buildings) and I was flabbergasted that she takes the kids trick or treating in an honest to God hay ride. We can walk and hit 40 houses in an hour but we were both excited to take the kids trick or treating. Different but the same.
Thanks Tammy, thanks for taking the time to call, thanks for lifting up my spirits.
