Steve, what a great idea to have a designated fishing pond for those champion fishermen in the making!  Turtles also love to nibble on bait, we also used to fish in a pond and somehow I would always catch one. :-)

Steve, I used to go fishing with my Dad - always a great time, but that was in Wisconsin. Now I go to Stow Lake in GG Park sometimes, with my dogs, to watch the turtles and the ducks.

I called my brother yesterday to remind him of our first camping trip as kids. He was about 6. He woke up early threw his line in the water and caught a fish. He woke everyone shouting," I caught a whopper, I caught a whopper. It was a 4-5" perch. lol
