Don't you love all the colors? I think that's my favorite part of the beach - wind socks flying, fun little shops packed with stuff...Long Beach is such a cool area. Did you visit the Kite Museum?
The Shelburne Inn has great oysters too-if you like oysters.

Hi Michael~ We do indeed have some interesting curiosity shops! There is one on Pier 57, here in downtown Seattle, that has strange things in jars, like two headed goats and baby pigs with six legs...kind of creepy, yet we all go in and look...Wonder why that is?

I just love the natural aspects of the beach, the sand the rocks and all the creatures including ourselves that thrive and benefit from the oceans, the seas, or the lakes that are vital to all our lives. A
Because I live in Sacramento, a valley of equal distance between Lake Tahoe with the Sierra Nevadas, and San Francisco and the Pacific Ocean, I have a decision to make which often depends on my energy levels. If I have energy to spend, I generally head the hour and a half east to the mountains. BUT if I need to be restored, I always head for the ocean. There is something about the salt air, and low key casual atmosphere which simply puts me right again!

Long Beach...we actually came very close to purchasing property there...we had some big issues with the inspection, but the beach part of it was wonderful..we hadn't experienced it before. I want (someday) to take one of my future horses there to run on the beach. I had great plans with my current horse, but she can't be ridden anymore, sadly.

One of the hardest choices I made prior to moving to the mountains was letting go of immediate access to beaches...OH there are beaches (glorious ones) in North Carolina, but they are a number of hours away. Just watching your video brought a smile to my face...THX!
