Hi Ruthmarie,

I love this time of year and all the Halloween/fall festival activities.  We have always wanted to get up to your neck of the woods to try the Headless Horseman haunted house (#1 for many years).  Although I suppose that is about 1.5 hours north of you.  I love upstate NY!  Someday....

Hi Jane - We are lucky in that our history goes back to well before the Revolution.

Thanks Roy - LOVE the flower - as always

Hi Scott - You must have some interesting festivities yourself at this time of year.

Hi Lisa - The headless horseman bridge is just about 8 miles west of me.  I wrote a post about it.  Philipsburg Manor is the site of the festivities.  They ramped it up over the past couple of years and I"ve been told its not for the faint of heart.
