My golden retriever, Rocky is one silly boy.

Our house backs open space and there is a wrought iron gate separating Rocky from the back yard and the great open spaces.

So many times when we take him out back, he goes to one spot in the fence between two bushes and sticks half of his body through the gap. We just aren’t sure what he is checking out, but we have named the spot Rocky’s Secret Garden.

My husband went to check out the other side of the fence to see if there was something interesting there. He found nothing. He even got the weed eater and buzzed the other side of the fence. That didn’t make a difference to Rocky. He still visits his secret garden every time he goes outside. If only he could tell us what he is doing.

I really like Rocky. If he told you what's up in his secret garden... then it wouldn't be a secret any longer :) Isn't it great to love our quirky pups and have them love us back complete with secrets.

Belinda, My wife saw Rocky the other day in your AR Header while I was reading one of your recent blogs. She asked "Who beautiful dog is that". I told her Rocky belonged to one of my AR friends in Denver, CO. She remembers when we used to live in Denver back in the 1980s. We had a dog named "Coco" who always found a way to get out of the backyard fence, but he was smart enough to dig his way back under that fence.

Rocky seems to be a very smart dog too. Perhaps, he senses something that humans cannot tell.
