Keep Business Flowing!

Real Estate Broker/Owner with California Lifestyle Realty

Every day, everybody you meet, and people who called you - send them a THANK YOU card.

You basically say, "It was very nice meeting you. Thank you for getting to know you. I am a Realtor and would
appreciate it if you would refer my name to someone you know who is thinking about buying or selling
real estate."

You handle all of your mail - especially junk mail - the same way. Thank them for the information they sent, etc. etc.

Every one you meet, talk to, or get mail from you send them a thank you note. And stretch. Send as many thank you cards as you can.

Even bills. Thank them for sending the correct bill - no errors. (whatever works ... practice DOES make perfect)!

The expense is small, but the result could be big. Everyone will remember you. The reason is ...

Nobody does it. Nobody sends thank you cards any longer. Think about it. When was the last time YOU received a thank you card? In 1983?

You can even have your assistant do this. Especially mail. Brilliant and easy way to keep your name in front of people.  Thank them when the least expect it and they will remember it and YOU forever!

I heard this wonderful habit many years ago and need to start doing this again. In real estate already I have gotten notes from partners and other realtors alike. It is such a nice gesture, especially the handwritten portion of the note. I would never have an assistant do it. I was the one who made the acquaintance, I should write the note (unless they have better handwriting!)

Thank you notes are the best way to personalize your business.  I send even send them to folks who request my relocation package.  A personal note in your handwriting lets people know you are a real person.

I just got a card from a closing that I had that week from the sellers agent! I was shocked. How nice it was. Didn't try to recruit me just simply wanted to say Thanks for a smooth closing. It was nice

I think it is such a wonderful idea.  It makes somebody feel so good, and people definitly remember how you make them feel.  I think the saying is, "People may forget what you say, but they will never forget how you made them feel."

Thanks for the reminder.  I need to start sending thank you notes.  You are right in saying that handwritten notes are a lost art but one that is still appreciated.

Lorraine, I'm with you. I got a thank you note from my car salesman and I couldn't help but to refer someone in my office looking to upgrade their vehicle. Best of luck and keep doing what you do.

Good idea and making people feel good and appreciated is always good.  Right on for the idea.  Bookmarked.
