Great idea! It's important to help those get questions answered and realize they can actually buy a home... Some don't know they can...

Good morning, Rose.....when the market was booming, there were always home buyer programs....now that they're needed more than ever, there are not as many....this program is a worthwhile event to attend.

I would love to know what kind of success you have with this, Rose.  Do many people attend? Do you have much of a conversion rate?  Maybe a follow up post would be enlightening :)  Hope you are well, my friend.

Mark - I like having the class at the public library because we get a good turnout there.

Ronald - Thank You!

Lauren - Even the people who can't buy right now will benefit from the class - one of the things they learn is what they need to do to qualify for a loan.

Barbara - I think homebuyer classes should be required! There is so much to know about buying a home, especially for a first-time buyer.

Mimi - I have done several at the library, and attendance varries. We have had as few as 3, and as many as 30. Usually it's around 15.

I have been thinking of doing classes for short sales and purchasing in a down market.

Hi Rose,  what a great thing you are doing for the buyers and for us agents.  The more educated the buyers are, hopefully the fewer problems we will have with the transaction when they do buy.
