Sellers in today's real estate market have a myriad of choices to select from when deciding on selling their home. They can choose to go For Sale By Owner, select a full service, discount service brokerage, real estate auctions or to run out and get their real estate license and try to sell their home themselves when they pass the real estate exam and hang their license. As a real estate broker I have seen and heard most every unbelievable choice a seller can make in selling their home in today's market.

For Sale By Owner.
This is most popular among the homeowners that are commission conscious and they think that they will save a bundle if the do it themselves. I am not saying it can't be done, but 92% of For Sale By Owners per NAR end up listing their homes with a real estate agent.

Real Estate Auctions:
Real estate auctions offer one of the most expedient means in which to sell a home. It does take finding the right company, the right marketing strategy and one of the perks is that the seller does not paid the commission. Most auctions are completed within 6-8 weeks. Your home is sold.

Traditional Real Estate Brokerage.
This is a full service approach to selling your home, with all the bells and whistles,  depending on the agents knowledge and experience---- exposure to the Internet, social media, and good old fashion hard work. 

Discount Real Estate Brokerage:
These brokerages offer you a menu driven style of selecting the services that you maybe thinking about, from basic MLS only, to signs, forms and professional assistance. This type of brokerage will charge for use of : Be careful when it comes to thinking that if you speak with an agent and need assistance with and escrow or other selling concern, it will not be free. Unless, you have signed up for there premium package.

You Become A Real Estate Agent:
This is something I have heard from sellers, that they are going to get a real estate license and sell their home themselves, when they pass the test and hang their license. Good luck.

Consulting A Real Estate Consultant.
A real estate consultant, is a person that will advice you of all your options, and charge you a fee for the consultation. No hard sell, just the basic information on what might be the best means for you to sell your home. Check on fee range.
