I've Been Meme'd (5 Things You Don't Know About Me)

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Zillow

So I'm new to this whole AR thing, but apparently I've been "meme'd" which apparently means that I have to tell you all 5 things that you don't know about me. So here goes:

1. I was a chess prodigy when I was a kid. I was #4 in the country 12-and-under -- when I was like 9 years old. I led my elementary school (Dalton) to two national championships. I was hardcore -- I used to travel across the country to play in tournaments most weekends. When I moved from NY to LA at age 12 I gave chess up for a more "normal" childhood.

2. I have lived in the following cities, in this order: NY, LA, Boston, NY, San Francisco and Seattle.

3. I went to Harvard and then was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs before moving to San Francisco to do private equity investing. Then, in 1999, I was bitten by the startup bug and I co-founded an online travel company called Hotwire.com. Four years later we sold the company to Expedia and I moved to Seattle where I hooked up with the Expedia executive team who decided to start Zillow together in 2005.

4. I eat Chinese food pretty much every day. Except the days that I eat Japanese or Thai food.

5. My wife is a pediatrician. We started dating when we were 17 years old. And lastly but most importantly, I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who is the most amazing things in the world and I adore with all my heart.

So now I get to do this same torture to 3 people? I guess 3 of the first people who commented on my opening post are the lucky winners:  Dave Cheatham, Lisa Heindel, and Peg Gilliland

Thanks for sharing.  Glad to meet you.  I would wish you much success and happiness, but it sounds like you have had a great life full of both.  (But, good luck anyway!)

Wow, chess prodigy?

I think we should schedule a showdown between you and Jon. I once saw Jonathan take on the Jamaican National Champ on the streets of Vancouver BC, it was quite a show.

Your daughter is adorable!!

Thanks for playing along :)
